scia Systems scores a triple: three scia Mill 150 conquer the Chinese University Market

scia Systems repeatedly shows its skills in the delivery of industry-standard equipment for university applications to three renowned Chinese universities. The three scia Mill 150 systems will be used for full surface etching of substrates up to 150 mm.

The first scia Mill 150 is already prepared for delivery to Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) – a C9 League university with strengths in engineering, technology, management, and life sciences located in Xi'an, Shaanxi.

The second Ion Beam Milling System is in commissioning phase for the Zhejiang University located in Hangzhou. This university is not only an elite C9 League university, but also one of China's oldest, most selective and most prestigious institutions of higher education. They purchased their scia Mill 150 with optical end point detection (OES).

The thirdscia Mill 150 was recently won in a nationwide Chinese bidding competition. It is planned for ShanghaiTech University, a young resource-rich university in the heart of Shanghai Pudong’s Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park with an academic focus on STEM research. The system is intended for ion beam milling with secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) for endpoint detection.
